Ray Harris has worked at filmmaking since 1977. He hasn’t tired of its challenges and long hours. The storytelling and visualizations are so very important and rewarding that he is always looking forward to the next project. His illustrations and drawings have forced directors “look at the picture” rather than just the script for development and guidance. The “casual confidence” he brings to his drawings is an added attraction. He has worked on hundred million dollar pictures and small budgeted independent films with the same focus and intensity. Harris has welcomed the digital era and continues to upgrade his skills with
the aid of the computer. Most assignments are done in the computer and can be
sent to directors over the internet. Although he does not consider himself an actor or writer, he continues to read and observe the human condition with an acute understanding of their importance in filmmaking. With strong character and gentle personality, Harris brings a friendly atmosphere to the projects he is attached to. “I feel fortunate to have the ambition and opportunity to work in this field with the best people in the business."
